This site is run by Scale Globally With Eli. This policy covers this website, the margin calculator, and the Instagram account @scalegloballywitheli and its automated messages.
Most small businesses with an annual turnover of $3 million or less are currently exempt from the Privacy Act 1988, unless one of the statutory exceptions applies to them. We handle your information as if the Australian Privacy Principles applied to us anyway, and we intend to keep doing that whether or not the exemption stays in place.
The margin calculator, the launch budget and the scorecard all work out their answers in your own browser, and nothing you type is stored against you or tied to your name or email. While analytics are on, the figures you enter are sent to Google Analytics, and a rounded price and margin range is also sent to Meta, so we can see what sort of products people are pricing and write better material about it. Switch analytics off, or decline the banner if you are shown one, and none of that is sent anywhere.
This site uses three non-essential tracking tools: the Meta (Facebook) Pixel and the LinkedIn Insight Tag, to measure which posts and ads bring people here and to show our ads to people who have already visited, and Google Analytics, to measure how the site itself is used. All three may set cookies or use similar technologies. If you are visiting from the UK or the EU, none of them load until you answer: a banner asks on your first visit, and they only initialise if you say yes. If you decline it, or ignore it, nothing is set. Everywhere else, including Australia, they load when you arrive and you can switch them off with the button below. The site works the same either way.
Where you send us an enquiry by clicking an email link or submitting a form, we record that the action happened, and which enquiry it was, in Google Analytics and Meta. LinkedIn only sees that you loaded a page, not which enquiry you sent. We do not pass any of them the contents of your message or your email address.
Your choice is stored locally in your own browser, so it applies to this device and this browser only. To undo it, clear this site's data in your browser settings. You can also manage ad tracking in your Meta account settings and in your LinkedIn advertising data settings, and opt out of Google Analytics across every site using Google's browser add-on.
To send you the resource or fee updates you asked for, to reply to your messages and form submissions, to measure our advertising and site usage if you allowed it, and to send occasional related material about Amazon and marketplace growth. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone else for their own marketing.
We only email you if you gave us your address for that purpose. Every message identifies us and carries a working unsubscribe link that does not require you to log in, create an account or supply any further personal information. Unsubscribes are actioned immediately, well inside the five business day limit set by the Spam Act 2003.
We use Netlify to host this site and receive form submissions, Meta and Instagram for messaging and, with your consent, advertising measurement, Google for site analytics with your consent, ManyChat for Instagram automation, Calendly for booking calls, which receives the name and email you enter when you book, and an email service to send updates. These providers store and process data outside Australia, mainly in the United States, under their own privacy policies and their own countries' laws.
By using the site or giving us your email, you consent to that overseas disclosure. You should know what consenting means here. Those providers are not regulated by the Privacy Act 1988 or the Australian Privacy Principles. If one of them handles your information in a way that would breach the Australian Privacy Principles, it is not accountable under the Privacy Act and you will not be able to seek redress under that Act. We also can't control how a foreign provider is compelled to act by its own government. We pick providers we consider reputable, but that is the limit of what we can promise.
We take reasonable steps to protect what we hold, but no website or email service is completely secure and we can't guarantee against every risk. Please don't send us sensitive information such as financial account details or identity documents through Instagram or a web form.
Email us and we will tell you what we hold about you, correct it if it's wrong, or delete it. We aim to respond within 30 days. If you're not happy with how we handled it, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
We keep contact and message data for as long as we reasonably need it to run this business and answer your enquiries, or until you ask us to delete it, whichever comes first.
This site is for people running businesses. It is not directed at anyone under 18 and we don't knowingly collect their information.
If we update this policy, the date at the top changes. Material changes will be flagged on the site.
Privacy questions, access requests and deletion requests go to eli@scalegloballywitheli.com, or by DM to @scalegloballywitheli.

Amazon moves its fees without telling you, usually mid-quarter, after you have already priced. Leave your email and you get the new numbers, what they do to your margin, and a note when a new tool lands in the vault.
Rather talk it through? Half an hour on your numbers.
